Waterfall

Waterfall scene, Atherton Tablelands. I took this about 1997, with my two daughters and friends. I just love the light and the colours and the contrast. It all came toegther and worked. One of my all-time favourites

End of the month

End of the month already. Hard to believe. A slothful month, no gym or exercise for 2 weeks. But I rectified that yesterday. Did body pump. It was great. Did another class this morning and it was excellent too. Not tired or sore from yesterday. Lots of energy. Especially good after a hectic trip to Sydney on Saturday. Ate out too much. Vietnamese on Thursday afternoon, ditto for Friday afternoon and evening. Haloumi in Sydney on Saturday afternoon and Thai on Saturday evening, and then Indian food for lunch on Sunday. It was great to just have a home made stir fry with lots of tofu last night. At lunch I went swimming with one of my work colleagues. It is actually the first time I have swum in Canberra in the four years I have been here. How sad. A 5o metre pool. Did laps. Managed 16, but what a struggle. My arms gave up after a few laps of freestyle. Breastroke was ok. Still I was pretty quick. But the water was murky, and I found it boring. Have no desire to do it again, certainly not in an indoor pool. And it was quite expensive, $5.40 + $1.50 for a locker. And it was a rush as it is 10 minutes walk from my work. Fuck I was tired. It took a lot out of me. We walked back quickly and by the time I got back to work I was drenched in sweat and kept sweating for another 45 minutes. Most unpleasant. had some lunch, then got a cold and a headache. Fortunately a colleague wanted to chat about something so we went downstairs and had a quick coffee and the macchiato and the cold and headache tablets did the trick and I felt much better. Will sleep well tonight!
